Austrailian PM no confidence vote - over war

Just heard on the radio news and found this... The Senate today censured the federal government for deploying troops to a potential war against Iraq, declaring no confidence in Prime Minister John Howard. see link for story.

Is there and referendum or initiative process for dumping a Taoiseach?

There is, as far as I know, no facility for those outside the Dail to bring it down, no impeachment proceedures, no recall mechanism, the gaurds will only reluctantly accepts complaints of treason and the DPP won't touch them so........

take to the streets and stay there 'til the government resigns. There's a long history of it and sometimes it even works!!!!!
