Carole Cadwalladr is Guilty of ?Defemition? Fri Dec 06, 2024 13:00 | James Alexander
Carol Cadwalladr's latest 'analysis' of what she calls the 'broligarchy' is a feverish mishmash of Trump Derangement Syndrome, cod feminism and Delingpole-esque levels of conspiracy theory gobbledegook, says James Alexander

Smoggie Queens Shows How Far BBC Comedy Has Fallen Fri Dec 06, 2024 09:00 | Steven Tucker
Smoggie Queens shows how far BBC comedy has fallen, says Steven Tucker. Let's be honest, there's only one reason the corporation made this awful TV programme, and it's certainly not because it's funny.

fucking idiot, instead of macho posturing sinead (nice to nice that last bastion of male bahviour being invade) and choking up the newswire with idiotic articles you'd consider y'know, ACTUALLY DOING SOMETHING...
Otherwise may I recommend a lifetime membership of millwal football club,
Direct action yes, sub par Henry V "We few we happy few, we band of bleeding wombles" retoric just makes us look bad.
Grow the fuck up, quickly, and away from here.
The Good People of CAAB (Campaign for Accountability
of American Bases) regularly perform their own
"weapons inspections" of the the conventional and
nuclear weaponry at USAF bases in the UK.
Perhaps it is now time for the Good People of Ireland to perform their own inspections of the
unlawful? weapons activities that are taking place
at USAF Shannon?
Just a thought!
Has the roadcaster turned up yet...
"hey y'know what we need for our illegal sit in"
"What?"
"Bland commerical Pop!!"
"Yeah that'll totally fit into our ideals and ethics, and lets get the government yoof station to come down and play it"
"brillant!!!!!!!"
"hey how's that body armour coming along?"

Please GET TO SHANNON AIRPORT NOW!
by US mightier than U.S. - Irish People Sun, Feb 2 2003, 11:51pm
BLOCK THE RUNWAYS - YES! NOW! MOVE!
We need to block the runways at Shannon airport, so if people could begin to mobilize now, take a few days off work or college and head down with tents or vans or whatever you need for sleeping over. It's this easy!...
We will open a hole and move in when enough people are present. Don't be afraid - NO FEAR! Just think what part you and your friends can play in supporting the people of Iraq and all the human shields caught up in this.
Everybody knows and all reports show that the majority of Irish people are against this war. The threat to innocent lives both here and in Iraq is too great to let this continue any longer.
The US Embassy issued a public statement to their 90,000 citizens living in Ireland to be ready for immediate evacuation because of the very real threat of terrorist attack on them in Ireland. Fianna Fail didn't use that chance either to withdraw facilities to the US military at Shannon's civilian airport - they don't give a damn about any of us.
PLEASE CONSIDER THE LIVES OF INNOCENT PEOPLE NOW.
We will protect anyone who comes down for a peaceful sitdown protest on the runways. There will be a group of people to keep you safe and the situation calm. You will be helped to move easily into positions for a sitdown on runways that may last for a day or two. Bring warm clothes and flasks for hot drinks...
Strength in numbers and that's crucial so PLEASE get going now and don't leave it until the 15th as that will be too late.
We need a couple of thousand peace activists at Shannon airport NOW! You're one of them!
Requests have been issued to 2FM to bring the Roadcaster to the Peace Camp and have it based there for the next while. They will show up so keep emailing them and phoning them.
This can be dealt with in a matter of days if people move and come prepared. There's plenty of green space so bring your tents and whatever else you feel might be useful. Warm sleeping bags and clothes are essential as it's a bit cold this weather. Don't let us all down, come down now!

I think I'll wait for orders/requests from the Peace Camp before I come running.
They are the one's on the scene, they should decide such calls to action.

Do the Shannon Peace Camp have a monopoly on what happens in terms of protest at Shannon? I wouldn't have thought so. That said, it would be best to co-ordinate with them if possible and anyone motivated to respond to the post above would be best off making sure that other people are going down with them. No organisation = diminshed effect.
