BOC obviously is reading this site with a fine toothcomb cos I can't find the comment about the honking horns he so willingly divulged, ah well maybe it was just a BOC brain invention!!
Everything BOC says about Indymedia is correct. And the above comments simply prove it.

"Indymedia is an interesting example of how activists work. While it claims to be an independent voice of truth, it is in fact a free-for-all where any nutter can pass off anything he or she wants as fact. Anything you publish goes straight on to the site, with the onus being on the contributor to ensure the facts are correct. Items may be removed afterwards if they are found to be inaccurate, libelous or otherwise illegal.
None of the standard controls that apply to the mainstream press Indymedia vilifies so much applies to Indymedia. There are no standards of proof, no lawyers, indeed no controls at all on what appears, apart from the threat of removal later on. He was then told to check it out with Michael O Farrell in the Examiner (although it was probably Carl O'Brien in the Examiner who did that story)
Is BOC just pretending to be ignorant of the Examiner? Or is his research just very poor?
Or does he not read the Examiner because Sean Moncrieff writes for them, and BOc hates to be reminded that on "Don't Feed The Gondola's"
BOC was the unfunny obnoxious one... whereas Moncrieff has a bit of wit and charm. (especially compared to BOC)

Well, there's no fear of Brendan ever passing himself off as a journalist! Exactly what distinction is he trying to make between Indymedia's "video footage" and "news footage"? Would the footage of Gardai applying batons to the heads of protestors be seen in a different light if viewers were aware that it had been captured by "hysterical propagandists" rather than by responsible journalists?
The muppet goes on national radio and complains that the peaceniks are getting more coverage than they deserve and lo and behold devotes a full column to them and those like them.
Funniest thing he's done in years. Keep up the good work and sure if doesn't work out for you, you can always fall back on the ol' taxi work. You look like a natural.
