I'm not sure about anyone else, but I cringe whenever Bush repeats, "The Civilized World"! It seems a bit racist, and it would be more accurate if he referred instead to Western Democracies!

This week I attended a Divest From Israel campaign at Rutgers University, NJ and a passerby shouted "You're all Terrorists; Nuke Iraq!" without realizing the dark irony. Also, where other detractors felt empowered to scream "whores, whores" at the Arab women in our demonstration. :-(

It is at times so weird.
I have had similar experiencves of being between what appear to be irreconcilably different opinions...and it can be scary. I donīt envy anyone living in the USA at the moment.
