First reports from Shannon suggest a turn out which far exceeded the expectations of the IAWN. Reports suggest over 2000 people turned up at the demo

In several of these photos you can make out people with orange jackets these are airport workers who left work to particapate in the demonstration.

Despite the poor weather and rain the crowd are in a jubilant and upbeat form.
