They shall drop bombs propaganda and food on Iraq.

as they did before and in Afghanistan.

During the Afghanistan War the USA dropped yellow packages on the north of the country with rice and essential medical supplies within. They did so to "prove the American people had no quarrel with the Afghanistanis".

Though this action was not welcomed by many interantional aid agencies it became part of American policy.
The US Rice industry contributed over 80,000lbs (40,000kg) of Rice to this effort.
http://www.usarice.com/trade/RFApr02.htm
Food aid accounted for 20% of U.S. rice exports in 2001.

check this:

or if life is short and sweet and the guardian left unread a quote.

One Taliban official, Mustaq, who gave only one name, said dropping food on an attacked nation is insulting.

"We should run after the food they drop so we live for another day when their bombs might kill us?" he snapped.

So now as American surveillance planes (which incidently can "read a newspaper [guardian / herald / limerick leader / viz from 8miles") watch the Iraqis we might presume that as before the psy war shall be fought as before.

Iraqi soldiers will recieve the usual propaganda, telling them to desert.
This will of course shorten the war.
This is a "good thing".

now if you goto http://conway.webspace.fish.co.uk/legal/DubskysTrial.html you will find guestimates on how much material has gone through our Shannon airport, (believed to be ours though the title deeds are currently missing).
this is an excerpt from the current "Dubski" trial. it is a transcript of a cross examination of Inspector Christy Hickey.

D
You have no interest in what the plane is carrying?

CH
If the contents are potentially dangerous to the airfield then the duty is on the owner to tell us.

D
You don't do any standard checks?

CH
No

D
Any of these planes carry nuclear bombs?

CH
Don't know.

D
How many US military planes came through Shannon last year

CH
Don't know

D
Last week?

CH
Don't know - not on duty all the time.

D
Very many?

CH
That's a question of interpretation.

J
How many people do your job?

CH
5

J
So you're there about one fifth of the time?

CH
Yes

J
So how many came through on your shift last year?

CH
About one per shift

D
How long are the shifts?

CH
8-9 hours

D
So over 1000 came through last year?

CH
Not giving figures

D
Any of these carry nuclear bombs?

CH
Don't know

D
How did you know the C-130 can carry troops or cargo?

CH
Read it in a magazine

D
Did you also read in the magazine that they can carry Daisy Cutter bombs or do mid-air refuelling?

CH
No

D
So not an expert?

CH
No

D
Anyone else monitor the planes re safety?

CH
The Gardai

D
Do they check the contents?

CH
No

D
Are you aware that there's a war on in Afghanistan and Iraq?

CH
From the news, yes.

D
Are you aware that many of these planes are destined for these places?

CH
No. Afghanistan isn't the next stop from Shannon anyway.

D
How do you know?

CH
[long pause]It's not on the board as their next stop.

D
Have you ever seen a Stealth Bomber at Shannon?

CH
No.

*********************************************

Is it unreasonable to suggest that Shannon be used to transport Food Aid to Iraq?

Is it unreasonable to ask our politicians and diplomats to argue this "humanitarian action"?

I think not.

Rather I think it might provide Ireland´s government with a solution to the present involvment of Ireland in the Allied War effort, an involvment which is clearly in breach of our constitution.

Could any FF / PD politician argue against a campaign to only allow food aid or "desertion" literature through "our" airport?

Neutrality is a historical disgrace to the Irish nation.

The failure to stand with the Allies in WWII, while millions died under the Nazis, and with NATO during the Cold War against Soviet tyranny was immoral.

Now you have a choice: stand with the U.S. and Britain against Osama bin Laden, the Taliban and Saddam Hussein, or take a powder again.
