Appeal for Lawyers to investigate War Crimes

Appeal for lawyers and forensic medicine specialists to go to Palestine for one month.

LAW, The Palestinian Society for the Protection of Human Rights and the Environment (see the website at http://www.lawsociety.org/) are in dire need of lawyers with expertise in the investigation of War Crimes.

The US National Lawyers Guild is sending a team of lawyers in mid-May to investigate for one week.

But what is needed immediately are attorneys who have previously been in Kosovo or Rwanda and gathered on the ground expertise in the investigating, documenting and applying of the Geneva Conventions in this milieu. Further there is a need for experts in forensic medicine.

Of course those with expertise in war crimes would be wonderful. In the past, due to religious constraints, autopsies have not been done to document atrocities in Palestine. The population has now succumbed and understand the need to allow for the same.

Housing, food, etc., will be provided. We are looking for a one month commitment.
