From Ogoni to Bogoni.....
Friends of the Earth Galway are having an information event on the Corrib Gas exploitation tonight (Friday 6th) at 7pm in the Galway One World Centre (beside the Quays). There'll be a video about the Ogoni in Nigeria and guest speaker is Maura Harrington. (Maura is the woman who spent 24 hours sitting on a digger to prevent Broadhaven Beach from being destroyed for the pipe-line). All welcome

link to article in Le Monde concerning development of France´s strategy on Oil disasters.
This considers Basque speed of response to eco-disasters. As we know France has long been considering quick response to eco-disasters.
This year it has seen one of its oil-tankers attacked and subsequently pollute the coast of Yemen. This article also includes input from Brest, Brittany where the French government are still suffering the worker lawsuits arising from the last Oil spill there in 1999.

now this is strange how the World´s largest NGO handles the Prestige thing.
They have been privelage to much prestigious information and scoopies since the beginning of this eco-disaster.
And there webpages drip slow and viscously.
This really is the most serious eco-disaster crime commited in Europe so far.
I really hope everyone can read between the lines.
