MARX, DEMOCRACY AND ANTI CAPITALISM

Speaker James O'Toole (SWP) Tuesday 10th December 7.30pm ballymun Community Arts Factory 304 Balcurris Road

Most people probably associate Marxism with the horrible dictatorships of Russia and China.
But Marx had an altogether different vision of socialism where the great majority of the population for the first time have REAL power over their lives.
Today, with the world crying out for an alternative to capitalism, imperialism and war, the genuine Marxist tradition is more relevant than ever.
This meeting is organised so that local people from Finglas and ballymun can have an opportunity to explore some of these ideas and discuss the genuine revolutionary Marxist tradition.

Read Marx on Ireland. The key to revolution in Britain was to be the success of the Irish Liberation Movement. And revolution in Britain, the first industrial power was necessary for World revolution. Maybe those leaders of the Anglo-American Empire who have successfully incorporated the Provisionals into their power structure have read Marx.
