A Green goddess Squaddie was arrested in Belfast, after setting fire to a city centre hotel early sun morning. Green goddess squaddie was charged with arson, after he set fire to a belfast city centre hotel in an attempt to show up FBU firemen, and portray FBU firemen as inadequate/incompetent and unable to deal with fires after the 8 day FBU strike ended.

In a new developement in the dirty war, being waged by the Government against the FBU and firemen, brit army personnel have been caught setting fires, after a Belfast city centre hotel The travel lodge in Brunswick st, was attacked by green goddess squaddie arsonists. This beggars the question how long have brit army personnel been setting fires, and if they conducted any arson attacks during the recent FBU firestrike, how long and to what extent has this being going on. The question also has to be asked why the fuk are brit squaddies deliberately setting fires, the answer is simple, to discredit fire fighters and the FBU during the strike and also after the strike. A recently leaked secret internal government memo adviced and instructed the police to arrest any striking fire fighters/FBU who leave their picket lines to assist at scenes of emergencies such as car accidents and complex chemical factory fires during future FBU strikes, in order to win the PR war, the government no longer will allow firemen being portrayed as heros. The leaked secret memo shows the extent, lengths and tactics which the Government is prepared to use against the striking firefighters in order to win the PR war and turn public support against the firefighters. Incidently the hotel torched by the squaddies is known to be sympathetic to trade unionists and socialist politicians, the owner and staff having made their facillities available to these groups in the past.

Not wild rumours, it is well known within the brit military establishment, that Belfast and N.I are testing/training grounds for brit military strategies. What ever happens in the UK, was initially tested in N.I. Will this be military stragtegy used against the firefighters. It is possible that squaddies were given the instruction to set fires and carry out arson attacks. Certainly extreme right wing LVF members carried out arson attacks on the homes of striking fire fighters in Scotland. Sometimes the horrific truth, like the existence of nazi death camps, is too terrible to acknowledge, but knowlege is power.

The secret government internal memo was leaked to the MIRROR, see previous saturday's mirror for details. The article stated that the Government was fuming and jealous at the level of public support given to the fire fighters, therefore could no longer allow Firefighters and the FBU to be seen as heros, through their leaving their picket lines to attend emergencies, car accidents and chemical factory fires. What better way to break public support, then by recommending police arrest firefighters who leave their picket lines to attend emergencies. The government is paranoid and on the run, fearing that the FBU strike may actually bring down the government, which is not the aim of the FBU strike, the aim of the FBU strike is to get FAIR PAY, for professional highly trained skilled expert workers such as heroic FIREMEN. The strike was also against planned modernisation, which will cost more money and also lead to JOBLOSSES and a reduced fire service operating on skeleton cover, which cannot be done, as shown by the ineffectiveness of the Green goddesses over the strike period and the resultant loss of public lives. Given the so called 'heightened terrorist threat' to scale down emergency services seems negligent and also insane, unless of course the government knows there is no terrorist threat. Skilled Firefighters trained to a high level left their picket lines, to aid struggling Green Goddesses unable, untrained and unskilled in tackling chemical factory fires and car crashes. As seen on UTV, the trickling green goddesses fire hoses lacked the power to put out a small house fire let alone a massive factory fire. Army personnel were also grossly untrained in the highly technical and complicated skill of freeing members of the public trapped in the twisted metal wreckage of car crashes.

Re the Flood tribunal / stories not coming out because of needing proof - it would not have been hard to provide the links for at least some context - without them, the article really seems like it comes from nowhere - it doesn't take much to make up a story but like C. said Indymedia's now reporting that a "green goddess squaddie" set a hotel on fire.

The author may just be lying and ranting as usual, but I'm prepared to give the benefit of the doubt and rely on the links and comments to discredit him/her.

Writing articles that seem to come out of nowhere deliberately discredit Indymedia.

OK according to The Belfast Telegraph the were two soldiers arrested at the Travellodge, but the army has stated that they did not serve on any Green Goddess crews during the strike

I dont know if the above story is true or not. Who cares. Most of the crap that has been broadcast about the Firefighters in the mainsteam media has been lies. Remember "Fire Union Chiefs are Saddam Stooges"?
