To make the protest at Shannon on December 8th as effective as possible we need direct action. The action on the last occasion provided a good example of the possibilities. With larger numbers committed to this sort of action we will be able to threaten the US use of Shannon. It would be useful if all the groups running buses to Shannon posted details on indymedia I understand that there is a bus from Cork leaving from outside the Opera House at 10.00am People should begin discussing now how far they are prepared to go things like breaking the law, tearing down fences, getting arrested, blocking roads etc. Form affinity groups so that if you are lifted someone knows and can help you out. Each contingent should get a few to volunteer as photographers or video persons. See you all at Shannon and probably Dublin

sad really, hope ye have all been reading teh facts too bout planes being refuelled here for years, not just usa planes, but russian ones before..
as for a B2 bomber or a B52 stelth landing in shannon!!!!!!! ha ha
B2's can go from usa to afghan and back without refuelling
and as for stealth bombers they refuel mid air so they will never never never need to land in shannon

All US military planes have inflight refuelling capability - even the B 52. It costs far more to refuel a plane mid-air or to fill a plane with fuel and fly with the fuel tanks completely full. So planes refuel at stopover points - it's a more economical way to slaughter innocents! Get your facts right....
It is considered self defence to damage warplanes especially in neutral countries 3 women using hammers and screwdrivers fairly fucked up some harrier jumpjets in England some years ago.I court they claimed they were acting for the defence of innocent people in Timor they were let off without charge.

There are meetings across the country, and on the day to discuss tactics, somewhat unlike Oct. 12th.
Alternatvily perhaps you would like if we just phoned up Harcourt Sq. and gave them a detailed plan, complete with names and addresses.
the Blue Block don´t keep all their intelligence in one easy to find place.
For info on cavalcades, street control and cars and the VIP list (as gaeilge an bodach mór list) goto Dublin Castle.
For computer and paper files on "militant activists" go to Harcourt Street south building.
For computer and paper files on "subversive political elements and spookies" go to the Phoenix Park, for harmless "careless chat costs pensions" goto Harrington Street Garda Club or the Garda Golf Course (great place for mushrooms).
There is a little blue van with GARDA written on the side which transfers really important files from one site to the other, usually on tuesday afternoons. There is also a "GARDACHAT" yahoo group, where you can talk to Gardaí online flirt, cajole etc.,
The Blue Block in Ireland use a shredder bought in 1997, fairly old technology I would rather eat my paper files then use one of those things, but anyway, the shredded paper get´s transported to the Garda incinerator along with the drugs and other awful stuff on the first thursday of the month.
If you want to have a google at these lever arch files, you could consider backing the whole Gardaí Siochanna organisation into an embarrasing failure corner and thus pre-empt a five year expensive inquiry which would probably be held in Dublin Castle. Only indymedia activists with NUJ identification will get within photographing distance of the files on the big table though.
Alternatively you could try the yahoogroup thing and flirt with members of the Gardaí, vulnerable ex-alcoholic guards may be the best targets for such investigative techniques, wait till you´re at least three months into the relationship to pop the "would you use this toprange mini-digital-camera to copy the "lever arch files" ...darling.
it might be difficult but you´ll be doing your bit for the evolving revolution.
Alternatively you could "go over their heads", now this really is very very easy to do.

meanwhile just read my RTS day statement to the blueblock, required preliminary reading for stud of the more "esoteric" texts. And if anyone has a lot of sellotape it would help, over in Barcelona we have the kindergarten bunch fitting the shredded paper together every Saturday morning between 10am and 3pm.
I'd be very much interested in coming down to Shannon to camp out and protest however could someone prefferably by email breenson@iol.ie fill me in on the details of how to get to the site etc.
hey i was wondering...everyone entitled to their own opinion yeah of course, but i don't get these idiotic creeps who add their opinions to indymedia SOLELY for the cause to annoy/piss us off/coz they've nothing else to be doing. man we're passionate about what we do and believe in, we laugh at your insults,as much as you seem to put us down and slag us, you spend so much of your energy doing it! valuable energy that could be used elsewhere..why dont ye all go out there and embrace life,enjoy it,try make it better for the future and our children..stop wasting your time! peace & love :)
