The Campaign Against Refuse Charges will hold a protest outside the offices of South Dublin County Council in Tallaght (beside The Square) on Monday night 11th November at 6:30pm. The protest is organised to coincide with the Council's estimates meeting at which the extension of the bin tax for another year will be on the agenda.
With non-payment of the bin tax in South Dublin running at over 75% according to the Council's own figures, it is obvious that resistance to the tax is huge. The Campaign Against Refuse Charges has been working to build this resistance into a mass campaign which will force the abolition of this unjust tax. Public meetings have been held across the county and local groups and co-ordinators have begun the process of building campaign membership.
As part of this process, a series of public meetings are being held across the county this week - aimed at continuing to build the campaign and building support for Monday night's protest:-
Tallaght - St. Mary's Boxing Club, Thursday 7th, 8pm, details from Mick Murphy 01-4934696
Lucan/Clondalkin - Green Isle Hotel, Monday 4th, 8pm, details from Gregor Kerr 087-6996046

Whitechurch/Ballyboden - Furry Bog pub, Wednesday 6th, 8:30pm, details from Lisa Maher 01-4934696
Please spread the details of these meetings and of the protest to any contacts you might have in the relevant areas.
Thanks
