Ye will regret Nice yet, in spite of what ye were promised.
I see the EU payments went out last week to the farmers, just in time for them to consider the complex arguments on enlargement and other issues not even in the treaty and to make an ‘informed’ and ‘sophisticated’ decision ( with a little help from the ‘independent’ Ref Con). Well I hope they enjoy their 30 pieces of silver because the days of the CAP will soon run out. If they believe their ‘leaders’ that the EU will subsidise Polish food mountains as well as the existing mountains of Irish and French food, they are in for a shock. Welcome to the ‘free’ market boys where you will be screwed just like workers and consumers already are. Maybe they can take some of this ‘good will’ towards the ‘generous’ Irish they were told about to their bank managers in future, I am sure he will much prefer that.
