We see now what the EU’S motives were when they were dumping billions upon billions of loans and handouts to this mafia run island and where did all this money go. It certainly was not spent on infrastructure nor was it used to create sustainable employment as we have more unemployed and very few labour intensive industries left.
The fact that we have highest rate of child poverty in the EU and the highest rate of inflation in the EU and the highest unemployment figures when the numbers on cheap labour government run schemes are included and all of this with our small population makes it impossible to convince anyone that these massive sums of money were effectively spent.
We are now expected to take the word of a well-proven pack of lying corrupt politicians and vote yes to a treaty that will lead us blindly into the slaughter house of multinational greed and corruption. Our corrupt politicians have effectively mortgaged this island and as we cannot make the repayments, the so-called leaders are forcing us to hand over control by voting yes to Nice.
What we saw happening at a Mayday march on the streets of Dublin was just an exercise in preparation for the rapid reaction force and the proof for this is in their reaction to the democratic decision already made by this country. The European community is becoming a Germany of the 1930s.
The European Economic community is now being replaced by power hungry Eurocrats determined to create a “super state” where everyone must bow the knee and never ever dare to say No to their wishes. They have nearly achieved what Hitler was unable to do with bombs and bullets the complete domination of the individual nations of Europe.

The development of the EU has held to principles generally called NWO new world order, which for European purposes began 11 years ago with the reunification of the German state, a result of Kohl+Bush(1)+Gorbachov.
This was one the final acts of WW3.
(for those who don´t understand the WW4 geo-political analytic tool, WW3 was understood to be the system conflict between traditional capitalism of western civilisation and central comand style communist of the Moscow led east. WW3 was a conflict between 2 "superpowers" as such was mostly psychological and if military fought by proxy.
The beginning of the EU superstate saw WW3 end with it might be worth pointing out the collapse of traditional leftwing ideology and parties in western civilisation and the development of the multi-national-corporations as geo-political decision makers.
We "in the know" call that WW4.
WW4 has subverted "democracy" which is why the USA has an illegitamate president, and set "western civilisation" on a crash course with "islamic civilisation".
WW2 analogies work for saying "they are bastards" or "they are evil" however it presupposes two clearly defined warring aliances at least.
WW4 is very very different.
WW4 is Mr O´asif and weird friends against the terribly unimpressive array of Fortune 500 multi-national-corporations and their little rascals.
WW1 = military sacrifice
WW2 = holocaust and fight against fascism=capitalism.
WW3 = begining of "hyper-capitalism"

If Irish people really think like this, they should leave the European Union themselves instead of keeping us outside.

At present the borders in central europe between Germany, Austria, and Italy to the immediate east are frontiers similar to those found in North America.
EU enlargement is primarily geo-political power play to control resources to the east and markets.
The east is a very nice place to visit, lots of people there want to be part of Europe but haven´t realised that they are already a part of Europe.
It was a tactic of NATO to pretend that they were east when they were central and to pretend they weren´t european or in Europe.
Europe is very big and speaks lots of languages, lots of states in EU may like to leave as indeed a few states in the USA have thought to leave No?
more and more people are beginning to discuss the possibility of leaving the EU especially in the Nordic countries. But how is this done there is no mechanism there for this. The eu is like a life sentence in a maximum security prison, you can get in but you are not allowed to leave. What happens when you try to leave either a prison or a prison house of Nations.
We never should have Joined, Norway was right, they did not listen to crooked politicans and bought trADE UNIONISTS.
