The National Museum of Ireland presents, for the first time as a collection since 1936, the watercolour paintings of Constance Markievicz.

The National Museum of Ireland presents, for the first time as a collection since 1936, the watercolour paintings of Constance Markievicz.

Painted whilst she was a Prisoner of War in Holloway Gaol, these pictures illustrate ideas of the Celtic Revival, Irish Republicanism and a rommanticized Irish way of life.

From Tuesday 5 November to Sunday 1st December 2002.
