New web site for Irish Trade Unionists campaigning against the Nice referendum

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Friday October 18, 2002 13:34author by joe hill - WWW

Resources Site on EU Treaties, Nice referendum etc from a trade union standpoint.

The site was somewhat of a rushed job, due to pressure of time, Nice campaigning etc. But it is now up and will be improved as time permits. Contributions and research etc are welcome from as wide and diverse range of trade unionists and other NO campaigns as wish to contribute. While different points of views will exist on certain issues, we hope to work with these views in a comradely fashion. As always volunteers are always needed and in short supply

only if the Yes campaign is defeated, we issued one after Nice 1 also, when it was over. If the Yes wins sorry, we will say nothing about Nice Nora G would not like it. However the SWP has 2 statements ready one if the yes wins and another if the No wins, so we can claim that we worked on the winning side. (actually we did nothing we have been busy talking about ESF)

Ahem... I hate to tell you Alan.... but while you were propping up the bar yesterday evening, Garrett Fitz and 12 Yes campaigners including people wearing tshirts with a 'charity' emblazoned all over them, were handing out leaflets to large numbers of the travelling public, telling them to vote yes for the disabled.

Maybe Garrett and friends did not hear you say 'But the Referendum is TOMORROW!'

Maybe that is why they will win also
