Jump To Comment: 2 1Congrats to all who took part in the direct action in UCD. In general, modern students as seen as passive, students unions are usually full of FF/FG careerist types and when it comes to something like the visit of an American ambassasor, just before a war is launched (Cork- recently), not many join the protest. I hope that this new found protest culture is not just self serving but can be widened- students will not be the only people affected by cut-backs etc.
Again, my sincere congrats.
