 - Campaign for Free Education The Campaign for Free Education occupied the Stillorgan dual carrageway today for half an hour. Hundreds of students gathered at 3pm and marched around the campus. The college authorities quickly locked the doors of the main buildings such as the Admin block. The protest then proceeded to the Dual carrageway. The road was occupied for half an hour. After the protest, the CFE held a public meeting which filled a lecture theatre. It was agreed that the CFE would protest at the visit of the minister for Education tomorrow. |

the protest was in UCD
The CFE are nearly all male SP and ex-SWP UCD students so it's obvious that they are talking about UCD.
I think we've found a man hater!
They can't help being men!
What do you want them to do?
Get sex change operations or become less active in politics because they are men?
In the CFE we're campaigning on the issue of free education. I agree that it is bad that women are not as active in politics.
The CFE is not dominated by Socialist Youth. Of the people standing for the elections only 3 are SP members. The list is mainly ordinary students that are not in any political party.
To say that the Socialist Party or Socialist Youth is male dominated is a complete lie. It shows the inexperience of the person that put up that posting.
Why don't you get off your armchair and get active!
