But watch this space, for all is not lost!
Although we are witnessing a determined attempt to to recuperate the vitality of the anarch-autonomist maerry-making of the last years, in a naked attempt to corral this energy into various ugly hues of democratic centralism (SWP), statism (ATTC) and electoralism (most of the rest), there will be an autonomous space established parallel to the conference. This counter-social forum will also involve thousands and promises to be a good deal more interesting.

Make trouble not war!
Make resistance not law!
I don’t know what other events are being organised that are similar to the ESF but I would go to them all. The ESF, despite not being perfect, is going to be the best opportunity for anarchists, socialists, reformists and general leftists to reach some form of consensus and build a Europe not built on war and capitalism.
I can’t remember when thousands of activists are going to discuss their common aims and goals. I think this is an opportunity that can’t be missed. Its stupid to write it off because groups like ATTAC, the SWP and Refundazione are involved.
"Don't go to ESF, blah, blah, blah, i am an autonomist anti authoritarian, blah, blah, blah, i don't believe in leaders telling me what to do, blah, blah, blah, but i am telling you not to go to ESF, blah, blah, blah because you cannot make up your own minds, blah, blah, blah, you might choose to go to the wrong thing, blah, blah, blah............"
