14:00 Friday September 20th 2002 The first of the anti globalisation protesters due in court in Dublin today has been before the Judge. Thomas Kaydor, from Austria, has been fined eight hundred Euro for his part in the disturbances outside the capital's Burlington Hotel last October. A further nine members of Globalise Resistance are due to go on trial in the District Court later this afternoon.
Thomas required hospitalisation and stitches after the Burlington. Now they've criminalised him and fined him e800 for protesting. Civil rights in this country are under attack.
