Ireland's rotten state has gone too far

IRELAND SHOUT OUT! INDYMEDIA SHOUT OUT! ***NOW**, not later!!!!!!!! We have rocked the world before. We shook an empire to it's foundations, and this time we're going to break one before it fully get's going. Say no to a corporate Europe, a European Army, the rotten lies and corruption of Bertie and Brussels. Say YES! to honest debate and a fair run race where the Irish people can have a look at what potent poison they're been made swallow.

Bertie says we are confused. He says we shouldn't fuss over the creation of an EU army, World Trade organisation (http://www.wtowatch.org) desperate deals, and the loss of tremendous amounts of sovereignty and democracy. Trust in his golden smile and his cabinet of fraudsters.

He reckons we have dreamed it all up!!! Nice according to European Commission president Romano Prodi IS NOT needed for enlargment. I don't have a problem with the concept of enlargement. Most don't. But we do have problems with their tirade of lies, their abuse, and their sickening sickening corruption.

I cannot take it anymore. This time - the state, the media, the church, the Unions and now Bono and the President - have gone too far! They have ignored basic debate and basic facts, repressed stories and recreated the truth. They have spat on our rights and on democracy itself.

Romantic Ireland is dead and gone indeed. It's with Haughey on his luxury boat. It's in the Caymen islands, the ongoing tribunals, the corporate boardrooms of Brussels and it's in brown envelopes from Donegal to Cork.

Regardless of your stance on Nice, surely we must all agree that being made to vote again is a direct exposure of the farce of democracy. No means no! We were not confused. We won't go to our rooms and think again. We won't sit down and bow to the big guns of Washington and Europe despite their cheap offers of friendship and bloodship.

This stinks. The facts are out. We can and indeed MUST expose this. This is probably the most serious development for Ireland's future since the 'temporary' partition of 80 years ago. This is about losing our constitution, our hard won rights, our public hospitals, schools and social services. This is a hidden agenda of the dirtiest variety and we must not be bullied. We cannot afford to think for one second that we might lose this race.

Nice MUST BE DEFEATED. WE MUST BELIEVE IN OUR AMAZING ABILITIES. For Ireland, for the rest of the EU states, for peace and for democracy - Ireland must stand up loud and tall and say 'ENOUGH IS ENOUGH' - we are tired of the corruption and lies. We cannot take it any more. Against all the odds: We will not take anymore!

If ever you felt love for Ireland, feel it now. If ever you felt angry at the injustices of Irish politics, feel it now. If ever you felt the need to do something for your country, do it now. If ever you desired an honest and peaceful world, ACT NOW! Scream from your heart NO TO NICE!
