"Impunity is a stunning documentary examining Colombia's paramilitary demobilization process and its impact on hundreds of thousands of victims of violence. In 2005, the Colombian Congress passed law 975, the Justice and Peace law, which created terms for the demobilization of the country's paramilitaries, and the construction of a reconciliation process. The process has been criticized by human rights organizations inside and outside of Colombia, who contend that the terms of the law are too favorable to perpetrators, offer too little to victims, and have allowed paramilitary structures to continue intact. This film examines the law, six years after its implementation, and its impacts on Colombian civil society. Impunity has received awards in France and Switzerland, including a special mention from the World Organization Against Torture"
