Belmullet District Court, 10.30am, Wed 11th Dec, 2013
- 5 Corrib Campaigners due to appear -

Shell to Sea spokesperson Terence Conway's court case is due to be heard in Belmullet District Court on the 11th December. Four other Shell to Sea campaigners are also due to appear in court on that day. Support welcome.

In the last week Belmullet Gardaí have been calling into some campaigners in the Dublin area presumably as part of the "nationwide investigation" into protests that took place against Shell this June in Mayo. Garda Hugh Egan, who was one of the Rape tape Gardaí is part of the investigating team that traveled to Dublin.

2. Solidarity Camp Accommodation Status

The camp and camp house are closed at the moment.
At the moment there is no physical camp base, nor is there other “camp” accommodation in the area. The continuous presence that solidarity camp provided since 2005 has ended, at least temporarily.

People and groups wishing to find out about and/or contribute to the campaign against the Corrib gas project still have plenty of accommodation options in the area but these are normal businesses that charge for their accommodation services.

There is still an active solidarity group though and events and opportunities to participate and support the campaign continue to be advertised online on the camp and shell to sea websites and facebook accounts.
