TAKE ACTION – DEMO Leitrim Co. Co. Office - Anti-Fracking Campaigners To Gather For Council Meeting

DEMO LEITRIM CO.CO. OFFICE / DEC 2nd / 4pm

Campaigners will gather at Leitrim County Council offices on Monday Dec 2nd, 4pm, to demand Leitrim County Council insert a clause into the county development plan, that states, unconventional oil and gas exploration and extraction is banned in County Leitrim.

Despite the majority of the council passing a motion which called on the government to ban “Fracking”, a minority of just a few councillors continue to argue against inserting a ban in the county development plan.

Next monday, councillors must stand up, take action and protect the people they represent and reflect the anti-Fracking sentiment, we believe, is held by the vast majority of residents in County Leitrim.

If possible please join us in urging the council to act on this matter.
