Re- THE BAN BY DUNNES STORES ON ANIMAL CHARITY COLLECTORS.
……POSSIBLY A REASON FOR THE 'CHARITY COLLECTORS 'STOPPAGE BY DUNNES STORES
ARE BLOODSPORTS PEOPLE REALLY THIS NASTY???

We refer to the ban by the Dunnes Store’s chain on allowing Animal charities to collect at their many shops.
This has shocked many welfare groups as no explanation has be given despite radio and newspaper coverage.

We were informed yesterday by a posting on the PRO RACING and COURSING forum GREYHOUND NUTS that the once vocal Pro stag- hunting group Rise [rural Ireland says Enough]were behind the ban by Dunnes Stores. We enclose the page from the blog below which is run by Tom Brett of Cork.

Unfortunately as Dunnes Stores will not answer questions put to them we cannot verify this revelation. We invite you to investigate further in an effort to explain the strange ‘less than compassionate ‘ stance that they have adopted.

AFAR feels to alienate any worthwhile cause without explanation is unjust.
so many animals need help.

AFAR feels to alienate any worthwhile cause without explanation is unjust. The large number of animals in need of new homes has increased dramatically here in Ireland due to the recession so registered charities must be helped to survive as most of their workers are voluntary and are helping discarded animals whose life depends on rescue efforts.

RISE Up Supermarkets.

RISE are delighted with the response they have received from major supermarkets regarding not allowing so called animal charities to fund raise in their store.
The vegan aims of the people running these charities was one of the main points which many stores took offence to as these are considered detrimental to the sales of many supermarket products.
Dunnes is the first store to enforce the ban and many more are expected to follow in the coming months.

Unbelieveable that the UK's top dog trainers are such an honourable group, far more honourable than the Queens horse trainers.............

Dunnes have been focusing on local worthy causes for a while now. A local School, sporting organisation or good causes, like day care centers, have a better chance of being allowed hold a bag pack, than a larger National or International organisation. The only animal linked charity acceptable are Guide dogs.

In fairness to Dunne's they are to be complimented on not allowing themselves to be bullied by threats of a boycott by vegans, although their fruit and veg section might lose a few cent in the process. It never did make sense to me on why in the first place they allowed these organisations, that use the charity laws to fund raise for their perverted aims, ie; to ban the use of animals in sport and the eating of meat , fish and fowl into their stores. I think Dunnes can absorb the loss of not having vegans as customers .

PS Bridie these animal rights groups / charities in particular ARAN are against using guide dogs for the blind as they say it is exploitation of animals.

The guide dog comment is a despicable and ridiculous. More likely exhilaration for the guide dogs
