Protest aims to highlight hare coursing cruelty permitted by the Irish government...
Campaigners against bloodsports will hold a protest outside Dail Eireann on Friday, February 1st, on the eve of the so-called "National Hare Coursing Finals", a festival of cruelty organised by coursing clubs and permitted by the Irish government.
The demo runs from 12.30 to 2 pm. All groups and individuals welcome. Later in the year, a Bill seeking a ban on hare coursing will be moved by Deputies Maureen O' Sullivan and Clare Daly. It will be vital to mobilise public support for the Bill and bring closer the day when this evil practise is outlawed for ever in Ireland.
