The ozone hole scare of the 1980s and the banning of CFCs was the template for the subsequent alarm promoting Net Zero. Yet the ozone hole is now back as large as ever, even after a 35-year CFC ban.

Clonmel Live hare Coursing Finals seem to rely on new young blood to thrive

The Association of Hunt Saboteurs will be holding a lively demonstration outside Dail Eireann on 1st February to coincide with the start of the ICC coursing Final in Powerstown Park Clonmel.
We will have some Dail members present and will be again highlighting the upcoming Private members bill to ban coursing being brought before the Dail by TDs Clare daly and Maureen O Sullivan.
Hare Coursing is a melting pot of many ills that need to be extinguished.

Focus on indoctrinating children.
A focus of this year’s final seems to be the influx of children expected at Clonmel’s Powerstown Park.
• A Greyhound supporters forum GREYHOUND NUTS is discussing the fact that lots of school children will attend this event
Hare Coursing equals legalised animal abuse.

‘Do you also think that the crowd should be a bit bigger this year considering the weekend meeting? Especially since all the youngsters wont be in school (for the first two days)’
Answer…‘Its awkward for them alright but its far more important IMO to get the kids in to the meeting, they are the next generation coursers’. Greyhound Nuts forum moderator TOM BRETT.
• It is extremely worrying that children are exposed to animal abuse in the name of sport. The American Humane Association has compiled research (pdf) showing the link between violent acts toward animals and violence toward people. The FBI identifies animal cruelty as one of the juvenile behaviors associated with increasingly violent behavior.
Also 50% of school shooters have histories of animal cruelty. We feel there should at least be an age restriction at live Hare and other animal abusing events.

Last Years Dog Doping at Clonmel final.
Garda investigation into doping of coursing greyhounds last year.
A Garda investigation was opened into the doping of coursing greyhounds at both the Irish Cup and Clonmel coursing finals meets. Greyhounds were found to have been given prohibited substances.
On June 27, the Irish Examiner reported that "Irish Cup winner Jeru Cavendish, under the guardianship of John O’Donoghue, Co. Clare and trained by John Browne, Co. Clare, has been sensationally disqualified almost four months after the event was staged at Patrickswell, Co Limerick." The report outlined that tests from the National Greyhound Laboratory revealed that the winner of the JP McManus-sponsored event had tested positive for the banned substances, Ephedrine and Phenylpropanolamine, adding that an Irish Coursing Club committee ordered the forfeiture of the Eur80,000 prize money and trophies. The dog had been nominated by former Labour Party leader, Dick Spring who has previously been condemned for his association with the cruel blood sport.
Quote-"Owned by eight-year-old Jenna O’Donoghue, Ballinagun, Cree, and trained by West Clare native, John Browne, Jeru Cavendish (Sienna Steel-Jeru) was an exciting and popular winner of the Irish Cup (64) worth Eur80,000 to the winner of which Eur8,000 goes to the winning nominator, Dick Spring, Tralee, the former, Tanaiste and Labour Party leader." from Fairytale ending to coursing season, Clare Champion, 01 March 2012
The Examiner went on to reveal that two greyhounds who competed at the coursing finals in Clonmel on February 1 2012 were also found to have prohibited substances in their systems: "Derby semi-finalist India Rio, owned by the Strictly Private Syndicate c/o John Murphy and trained by John Murphy, Co. Cork, was found to have the banned substance Modafinil in his system and has been retrospectively disqualified...Champion Stakes quarter-finalist Dresden Call, owned by Josephine McCarthy, Dublin and trained by John Kelliher, Co. Kerry, was found to have Ephedrine in his system and was duly disqualified."

How sad for Ireland that bloodthirsty simpletons who believe that this animal abuse and murder is, in any form, a traditional sport. The reputation Ireland has for its' abuse, mistreatment and general greed associated with animals is now greater than that of some third world countries. I just hope that the majority of the decent Irish people put pressure (in any way possible) to end this cruel and pointless pastime for fools. This already does and will affect tourism together with the way in which the rest of the world views Ireland in general. Very sad.

The FBI also consider animal rights advocates to be the biggest internal threat in the USA, could you credit that!

Yeah, and this, despite the likes of the oklahoma bombing by Tim McVeigh. Its laughable.

The reason they do this is because animal rights activists are undermining unethical but very profitable and very large corporate businesses. They might lose profits through bad publicity.

Profit is everything.

The enviromental activists are high on the list too. Jeff "free" Leurs was given a sentence longer than the local axe murderer for (safely) setting fire to 3 SUV's (which were subsequently repaired) in an environmentally related protest.

Property and profits are more important than human life in America.

The likes of boogey man Bin Laden and his Al Qaeda buddies are tolerated because they generated military and corporate profits on a huge scale. And they are sometimes useful as mercenaries to destabilise countries.

But small time ethical activists are just a nuisance to big business and are swatted with the full weight of the law.
