global ethical human rights approach.

The New Zealand Labour Party wants the rebuild of Christchurch following massive and tragic earthquakes to be from the 'Grassroots up, not the Beehive down'. So far the rebuild has, in my view, involved a fanatical top-down bureaucratic/Corporate control. From the 'grassroots' reflects the global ethical human rights approach of our council which emphasizes a bottom-up development and a bottom-up democracy. PS. the Beehive is where parliament meets.

'Grassroots up, not Beehive down' for Chch - reflects ethical, bottom-up, human rights

Thank you to Ireland indymedia for your support. Posted the following on the social networking sites yesterday:

"just heard some excellent news - Lianne Dalziel MP stated on TV One tonight at a demonstration held by residents of Chch concerned at the erosion of democracy that the main theme coming from David Shearer and the Labour Party at their conference was that the rebuild of Christchurch was to be from 'the grassroots up, not the Beehive down'. This reflects the global ethical human rights bottom-up emphasis on development and bottom-up democracy which is also a plan for New Zealand and the world. So thanks very much for your support for the ethical human rights approach at a time when support was very small, Tony".
