Burgas suicide bomber a Guantanamo jihadist?

The Israelis were quick to assert that Iran and Hezbollah were responsible for the Bulgarian bombing. But now it emerges that Mehdi Ghezali, a jihadist who spent two years in Guantanamo was the likely culprit. But things are murky. Who was he really working for? CIA? MOSSAD? Don't rule out a false flag operation with Mehdi thinking he was working for a Jihad group when in fact his masters were really CIA/MOSSAD. Fulltext at link.

Bulgarian media have reportedly identified the man responsible for blowing up the bus with Israeli tourists on Wednesday as Mehdi Ghezali, a jihadist who spent two years in Guantanamo. US officials responded there is “no evidence” that it was him. Ghezali’s name was revealed by Times of Israel newspaper, who cited local Bulgarian media sources.

But later the story grew murkier, with ABC reporting that Bulgarian officials denied that Ghezali was behind the attack. Swedish agency TT says it has received similar refutals from security services in Stockholm. NBC later said that US officials also had no information linking Ghezali with the terrorist act. None of the countries have issued an independently verified statement.

Israel did not hesitate in naming the perpetrators of the attack. "All signs point to Iran. This is an Iranian terror offensive that is spreading throughout the world," said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nikolay Mladenov said further investigations will be necessary before a definitive perpetrator of the attack is found. “It is wrong and a mistake to point fingers at this stage of the investigation at any country or organization," stated Mladenov.

From The Guardian.

... Bulgarian television showed footage from the airport of the suspected bomber wandering in and out of the terminal shortly before the blast, dressed as a tourist in a baseball cap, T-shirt, plaid shorts and trainers with short white socks and carrying a large backpack with wheels. Officials said the bomb went off in the luggage compartment of the bus as the attacker mingled among his victims.

Bulgarian interior minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov said the bomber was believed to have been about 36 years old and had been in the country between four and seven days. "We cannot exclude the possibility that he had logistical support on Bulgarian territory," the minister said. He declined to elaborate.

Officials are using DNA samples to try to establish his identity. Bulgarian prime minister Boiko Borisov told reporters that a Michigan driver's licence was retrieved from the scene, but he said US officials reported that "there was no such person in their database." ...

Hizbollah, hamas and Iran have denied anything to do with this, stating that if they wish to attack Israel they will attack military targets directly and not bomb innocent tourists on a bus in eastern europe.

Interesting that this "terrorist attack" happens just as Protests ramp up greatly with thousands on the streets of Israel and when support for Israeli foreign policy is waning amongst jewish people (and everyone else!) worldwide

This might very well be a dodgy false flag operation.

..Netanyahu was claiming it was Iranian almost before the charge detonated...obviously straining to get out of his kennel, there is a distinct odour of norvegicus norvegicus.
