Planning Corruption Protest At Dail

category national | crime and justice | press release author Sunday July 15, 2012 20:50author by Leo Malone - CII

On Wednesday 11th July 2012 further truths were revealed regarding endemic corruption in the planning process. The Mahon tribunal revelations were only the tip of the iceberg and did nothing to resolve some serious issues. Minister Phil Hogan has a lot of work to do to clean up the planning process. in fact the minister for justice will also need to make sweeping changes too.

The Planning Process in Ireland is corrupt to the core and on Wednesday 11th July 2012 a PROTEST took place outside the Dail. The TD's who seem to care about this corruption include Timmy Dooley FF of Clare and Mattie McGrath IND of Tipperary. Time will tell. Timmy Dooley spent some time with the protestors hearing stories of corrupt practices in this country. In fact at one stage Timmy left the meeting to get his party spokesperson on the Environment Niall Collins TD to attend and hear what the protestors had to say. They heard that friends of the Planners are allowed build without planning permission. They heard that people are building on other people's property. They heard from Con O'Dwyer of Co.Tipperary. They heard Matt Cahill reveal wrongdoing in the system. They heard Kevin Treacy tell of the loss of his legal planning permission to build a new house just because a judge was his neighbour. It was also very evident that when anyone protests about corruption in this country the powers that be issue false prosecutions to distract from the issues. THE PROTESTORS ARE PLANNING LARGER PROTESTS IN THE FUTURE.
