Mayday Celebrations & Resistance Against Austerity

Dear Friends,

the Spectacle of Defiance and Hope are calling on all of you who disagree with the policies of Austerity against the Irish People, along with the unemployed, low paid workers, people being strangled with unrealistic mortgage payments, the household charges and the community, youth and voluntary sector are bearing this very heavy weight.

Communities will be left without lifelines if they continue to close down vital projects and services and axe one job after another

The Spectacle of Defiance and Hope who represent the community, youth and voluntary sectors in protest are joining with the Dublin Councils of Trade Unions and other groups on international Labour day around the world Mayday to campaign for the jobs and the projects in the community and youth and all of the associated sectors which have been downsized disproportionately.

WE ARE URGING ALL OF YOU TO COME OUT AND SHOW OUR STRENGTH AGAINST THESE UNJUST AUSTERITY MEASURES! WE DIDNT DO IT AND WE CERTAINLY SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR IT WITH OUR CHILDREN, SENIOR CITIZENS, YOUNG PEOPLE, OUR DISABLED PEOPLE, CARERS, OUR SINGLE PARENTS, COMMUNITY WORKERS, YOUTH WORKERS

If you are joining the Spectacle please wear red

please put these as a priority

their power comes from our obedience!

please send this out to as many groups as you can and encourage your participants to come out!
