Thursday April 19, 2012 14:04 by Rossport Solidarity Camp
This morning work was held up at the Shell Glengad and Aughoose compounds by a truck occupation. Rossport solidarity campers and locals blocked trucks on the haulage route from the Ballinaboy refinery and then someone climbed up on top of a Walsh’s liquid container truck. They stayed up there for an hour whilst the Gardai milled around helpless on the road below, before picking a moment and making a break for it across the fields. No-one was arrested. |
