Great News – No British Murderers Will Pollute Galway’s Skies This Summer

The Galway Alliance Against War has welcomed the news that the Red Arrows, the British RAF’s military display team, will not perform at the finale of the Volvo Ocean Race this coming July.

GAAW’s spokesperson, Niall Farrell, stated: “We are delighted that no British murderers will pollute Galway’s skies this summer and so too are very many Galwegians. Since we revealed last week that the Irish organisers of the Volvo race finale had invited the Red Arrows we have been inundated with messages of support.

“Calling these pilots murderers is not a gratuitous insult, but a fact. All of them have been involved in the illegal wars of the past 10 years. Their job is to kill people. By inviting them the Irish organisers of the Volvo Ocean Race finale showed all the symptoms of what political scientists call post-colonial syndrome or in everyday parlance, a slavish Freestate mentality.

“It is worth noting why these killers won’t be performing: it is because of ‘a shortage of pilots’. That is no surprise. They have had 4 accidents in as many years. Last year alone 2 Red Arrow pilots were killed in accidents. Just imagine if one of those accidents happened over Galway – there would be huge loss of life. The withdrawal of the Red Arrows is great news!”

..is good news...that it has nothing to do with the organisers at the Galway end remains an indictment.
