Government-sponsored agency the Global Disinformation Index is censoring journalism by causing publications to be starved of advertising if they publish anything deemed "harmful", such as gender critical content.

All summer long there were "so great rains, that produced greater floods than in the memory of man", wrote John Locke in 1673. The 17th century was full of exactly the same climate catastrophising we hear today.

Dr Kirsty Miller was shocked to discover clinical psychologists sharing memes mocking their patients on social media. The problem, she argues, is the profession has been taken over by Critical Social Justice ideology.

Stop abusing race horses

PRESS RELEASE.8.1.12. HORSE RACING DEATH TOLL PROMPTS CALL FOR A BAN . Five young horses died last week at Leopardstown Race Track whilst Racing. This follows a similar incident where six horses died at Tramore track in Killarney a few years ago. In Sligo two years ago a horse collision at Cullenamore Races resulted in a horse having to be put down and two jockeys rushed to hospital. The collision occurred in front of hundreds of spectators. Laytown is remembered for the pile up of horses in the nineties when three horses were killed. While these fatalities are described as ‘freakish’ ‘sad’ and ‘regrettable’ the number of injuries and deaths is rising because horses are raced and made jump.
UNNECESSARY HORSE SUFFERING
UNNECESSARY HORSE SUFFERING

While these fatalities are described as ‘freakish’ ‘sad’ and ‘regrettable’ the number of injuries and deaths is rising because horses are raced and made jump. There is immense suffering involved in this so called sport that is veiled by its glamorous façade. Sport for who we ask? Definitely not the horses that are whipped around the courses, many resulting in injuries and deaths, an unknown tally killed in slaughterhouses when they are no longer winning. Commercial horse racing is a ruthless industry motivated by financial gain and prestige. Sadly the best dressed unthinking woman at the races is promoted more than discussion about the inherent cruelty. Please subscribe to a less cruel activity to pass your free time, sign our petition to end horse racing on http://www.petitiononline.ie/petition/end-horse-racing-.../1307 Cruelty? You can bet on it! We call on Minister for Sport Leo Vradakhar to instigate an investigation into Horse racing accidents immediately and to end this animal violation based on the vast cruelty that is inherent in Horse Racing. • HSI is the governing body for equestrian sport and receives funding through the Irish Sports Council. It has come under scrutiny recently after the Irish show jumping team failed to qualify for the London Olympics and there is a likelihood its funding will be cut further. In addition, Ireland’s ability to breed top-class horses for the changing demands of show jumping has collapsed, with the Irish studbook ninth in the world rankings. Press Officer AFAR, 0872651720

Fast running Rickshaws pulled by suffering, poor, innocent young boys was outlawed in disgustingly evil old Peking many years ago. Fast forward to see today's scenes of horse games/ there you will see the even worse injustice perpetrated,  with equal unnecessary suffering still being caused, but now done by millionaires impose the suffering upon the noblest of all animals-Horses: those INNOCENTS, risking their lives in good faith, are pushed to their deaths by their "SPORTING" masters. All that suffering and dying by horses is done just to win a silly, stupid little ribbon for owners. It must outlawed immediately  just as the BOYS pulling  rickshaws was in evil old China.  Winning "place" ribbons must be seen for what it is: The Owners'' Egos are Stroked in exchange for  the suffering and dying of Horses. The owners say they love their horses. Hypocrites.

In the US, our government under the auspices of the Bureau of Land Management, has for years been rounding up and sending to slaughter thousands upon thousands of wild horses who compete with cattle for cheap grazing land. Ranchers have a friend in the Secretary of the Interior, in Washington DC. That travesty and injustice is out in the open and many people are aware of it, but another matter, the dark side of horse racing is almost never discussed nor is the horrible secret of the more than 100,000 horses that are led to slaughter for want of a home. The issue of horse slaughter comes down to one that is not unlike the issue we have with our household pets... OVERBREEDING, which leads to the death and destruction of millions of homeless/unwanted animals. That said, many fewer people are prepared to "adopt" a horse or take on the expense of caring for these abandoned animals for life....so they go to hideous slaughterhouses where they are worth more if sold to the meat market for their flesh. An all-out effort to educate the public must be made! They need to know what happens to *race horses, the horses in rodeos, at riding stables, etc when they are no longer considered worth keeping. We must do everything possibe to end the exploitation of these magnificent animals. Greyhound racing is being shut down in state after state because the public has finally begun to get that message about all the senseless cruelty and the killing of unwanted, "used up" animals. We need to do the same for our horses. Please check out the following links: *http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/28829795 Seven in less than one month at Santa Anita Racetrack. All the hand-wringing and emotion following the death of the filly Eight Belles in the Kentucky Derby last May – just so much fluff, as these things always are in “sports.” *SLAUGHTER IN THE RACEHORSE INDUSTRY http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=GB&hl=en-GB&v=RSboR03WnjI This is not a pretty picture! And it is long past time to start this conversation!

DETESTABLE, INHUMANE AND CRUEL TREATMENT OF HORSES. THEY FAR DESERVE BETTER.

author by Suzie Douglaspublication date Sun Jan 08, 2012 21:30author address author phone Report this post to the editors

Many will protest that we need more regulation. The fact is, you cannot regulate cruel spectacles like horse racing, what are you going to do have a policeman in every horse stall to make sure they aren't drugged, have a policeman on the horse behind the jockey to make sure they aren't whipped? Ludicrous! Humans have shown time and again, particularly where money is concerned that they cannot as a collective whole be trusted with proper care of animals. These horses are injured, then drugged to keep them running with injuries. They are dying much too frequently at much too young ages.
This cannot be regulated, ban all horse racing everywhere!

Horse racing is neither glamorous or fun, as we see more & more young horses meeting their death on tracks. It is no use pretending that this is more the exception than the rule. Horse racing cannot be regulated to oversee that it is humanely managed, as greed will always supersede humanity & whipping, over training & dangerous jumping continue & horses meet their death or are sent of to slaughter houses when they can no longer make money for their greedy ownrers

I didn't realise that horse-racing could be so destructive for the animals involved. It's as bad as greyhound-racing. This is terrible, and shameful for us. Gandhi said, "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” Looks like we're not much of a nation then.
