Friday 23rd September, 6pm – 8pm, outside the Dochas Centre, Mountjoy Women's Prison, North Circular Road, Dublin 7.
Support is growing for Teresa Treacy who is still in jail at the behest of the ESB. Individuals are looking to come together to channel their energies into a combined effort of solidarity.
Make some banners and placards, come along on Friday evening and hook up with people.
Come together, meet each other, throw some ideas around and get involved.
This coming Friday 23rd, Teresa Treacy will have spent 10 nights in prison. The High Court has favoured the ESB and their outdated overgrounding practices over the rights of an elderly lady who has maintained her property, land and trees as a nature reserve. The ESB started cutting trees the day after Teresa was jailed, but they stopped work in the middle of the week when some protesters came to visit.. They have not resumed work this week and Teresa's land is being monitored by supporters.
