"This will go down as the biggest biological pharmaceutical safety disaster in the history of mankind — by a mile. This will go down worse than most wars in terms of mortality."
Dr. Peter McCullough is one of the most published cardiologists ever in America and is now serving as the Chief Scientific Officer for The Wellness Company.

Traffic cams show riot in real time
Looking on through the lens of the virtual on Saturday I was stunned by the breath and depth of the live and parasitic (in a healthy way) critique of the action which unfolded alongside the action on O'Connell Street on Indymedia Ireland and throughout the hiberno-blogosphere. I quickly realised that this was definitely the first example of an ad-hoc flashmob of citizen journalists banding together with a decentralised diy publishing infrastructure, spontaneously, as live and with no pre-planning whatsoever and with no notice, flexing its muscles and absolutely wiping the floor with the methods of the traditional media. RTE had just about caught up with events by the time the (10 minutes later than scheduled) late evening bulletin came around. All of the blogs all day were choc full of dissatisfaction with the performance of the 'public service' broadcaster.
Chomsky, Southside Prats, Primetime And The Irish Times.
Sometime recently, at least in my perception, it has apparently become unacceptable to criticize something without having an fully explored alternative, and even then your alternative must exist within the exact same framework as the object of criticsm, and perferably be as close to it so as to make no difference.
What am I talking about you may ask? Well two recent miniscule media related events have stuck in my mind, perhaps for no other reason than my cantankerous grumpy nature fixating upon them, but nonetheless I feel it’s a mildly important issue which while it may be nothing new, certainly bears a hearing.
The first issue to get my goat was one of the posters which formed part of the recent idiotic advertising campaign by the Irish Times. You may have seen the campaign’s scrawlings around Dublin festooning our walls with its inane message of “We look at life, you live it”, which is funny given that the last time I read the Times it seemed more apparent that they were looking up their own arses rather than at my life. Well one such poster caught my eye one morning on my way to work, It protrays activism as seen through the eyes of the media with a poster being held high saying “Replace capitalism with something nicer” followed below by the Irish Times witty reply “Any suggestions?”. Now I must admit I chuckled momentarily before getting pissed off at yet another portrayal of activists as moaners with no practical solution and therefore worthy of derision.
This is the first part of three interlinked articles on the potential political role of net based alternative media
The first part looks at American autonomist Marxist Harry Cleaver’s account of how international solidarity networks were built up around the Chiapas revolt in 1994, ‘The Zapatistas and the Electronic Fabric of Struggle’ and at the states’ response to on-line social movement organising, in particular at state actions against the Indymedia network.
The second article, An Historical Overview of Media and Class Struggle argues that the full potential of the Internet for political mobilisation has yet to be realised, as societies where Internet usage is currently widespread are pretty quiescent, with relatively little in the way of social protest and class struggle by comparison with say the 1960s and 70s. This argument is made by an historical overview of the role of the media and alternative media in various instances of protest and struggle.
Finally,The Internet, Communication and Horizontal Organisation looks at the role of the internet in communications, and argues that it can facilitate horizontal as opposed to hierarchal forms of social movement organising.
A run down of what filled the newswire over the past 12 months.
Over the last 12 months, the site has grown from strength to strength, with a huge increase in readership, a wide variety of subjects and issues being covered, and more people regularly contributing quality material to the newswire. To welcome our readers and contributors into the new year, the editorial collective have compiled a comprehensive review of the events and stories of the year just gone, that were published on Indymedia Ireland.
We hope that 2006 will continue to see IMC activities increase and improve. Dont forget that you can write for us too - thats the beauty of open publishing. You can become the media with a click of the publish button. We want your stories, images, audio and video!
A to Z of the Irish Times By Dave Lordan (From collection titled 'Clonakilty Red Pudding'. The collection is dedicated to ‘Tom Barry’s Missing Statue’)
All strikes are wrong, particularly the ones that go on. Bombs are good in Baghdad and Belgrade, bad in Belfast Cheerlead every imperialist war. Dissidents need not apply. Editorial line, editorial line, editorial line. Famines are caused by a shortage of food. Good for business, good for all. Hallelujah social partnership!!! Ignore anti-capitalist and anti-racist events not organized by our friends. Jail the poor. Keep repeating the establishment line. Letters from the organized left not printed. Letters from far right God-spouting nutters pride of place. Middle class audience, middle class values. NATO is a peacemaker and moral authority. Orange marches are an expression of Protestant culture. Prague didn’t happen, Genoa didn’t happen, Florence isn’t happening. Queue’s in public services the fault of the staff. Releases from PR agencies quoted verbatim as truth. Sanctions which murder hundreds and thousands of children are ‘an understandable reaction to the threat of terrorism’. Tell lies about the Nice Treaty. UVF same as IRA. Vanity mirror for the rich and politicians. World Bank Good Good Good. Xtreme left Bad Bad Bad. Yes Yes men and Yes Yes women. Zero coverage of Working Class Issues.
Some of the more recent poetry from the collection "The Boy in the Ring" which won the prize for Dave is available here as is a poem on the subject of Shannon Airport.
The Kavanagh Award has been awarded yearly since 1971 and previous winners have included Pat Boran, Celia de Freine, Paul Durcan, Sinead Morrissey, Peter Sirr and Joseph Woods. Lilliput Press published an anthology of the recipients of the award since 1971 in 2004 titled Dancing With Kitty Stobling.
Most Indymedia readers will know Dave Lordan as an unabashed socialist activist and this is often reflected head on in his writing. Here for example is Dave's Tribute To Joe Strummer and also his response to the events in Genoa in 2001.
